Our busy lizzies seem to have either rotted or been attacked by something. See attached photo. Would appreciate advice

Many people have complained about the busy lizzies this year. I bought some plugs on mail order and potted them on but they didn't make it to the garden. I've been told there is a virus attacking them.

Everyone's having trouble this year, but I would ask whether you planted these in the same place as previous years, or in the same soil in the same containers as previous years? Verticillium wilts can be a problem with repeat plantings.
