Nearly, Bamboo - it's A. 'Oriental Limelight'. ;-)
By the way, why didn't anyone tell me it was a thug before I planted it? lol.
I cut mine back several times in a season with shears - otherwise it grows too tall and flowers and the flowers are silly little grey things - they spoil the plant, which I grow for the foliage.

Do you know, I thought Oriental was in the name somewhere, but when I went and checked the label downstairs on mine, it just says 'Limelight'. Odd. Might be a thug where you are, Spritz, but actually its slightly tender and may be killed in a hard winter, or so they say. Have to see if mine comes through this winter if its a bad one.

I wouldn't actually mind if it died off, Bamboo. It has spread through my Anthemis and under the obelisk. I wish I'd never planted it - and I planted TWO! It's joined up now, you wouldn't know.

It certainly does get very tall in one season, I'm constantly hacking at it.

I was foolish enough to plant Artemisia 'Guizho' in the same bed - I really got to dislike that, and I've removed it. I'm thinking about getting rid of 'Oriental Limelight as well.
