What do I do with my gladioli after they have flowered? Do I need to leave them until the leaves die back or can I cut them down to the ground? I wasn't planning to pull them up and replant next year as I was hoping to leave them in. Any thoughts on what's best? Thanks

The longer the leaves stay green, the more flowers you will get next year. I do suspect that you will need a sunny southern exposure and sandy soil to keep Gladiolus alive through the winter, unless it is G. byzantinus.
