I have lots of Red hot pokers which had produced many leaves. can i cut the leaves down and to what length and when.

Nice crop of flowers there. I always cut these down to about 8 inches in October.

Yes agree, and divide to increase your stock if you so wish.

I leave them as winter protection and then remove dead tatty leaves in spring. makes no difference really.
