Meconopsis, anyone an expert on Blue Poppies? I finally got one of the little ******** to germinate, he has about six or seven leaves about the size of a 50p coin. he is outside now in a three inch pot with a Maginot Line of slug pellets around him. Do you think it best to pot on and leave out in the cold all winter or put him in my unheatead greenhouse 'til spring? Thanks.
Andy.

Gosh, you did well. I've never managed to get a single ******* to germinate, EVER

I got seeds this year, so I am going to have a shot at it.
I wonder though, should I leave the parent plant in the soil this winter?

Yes, they are hardy. Just be ready with a few slug pellets in spring. Don't put down too many as they actually attract the slugs...prior to killing them, of course.

To be on safe side, I'd pop him in the greenhouse after potting on.
