I have one on my pictures which is 3 years old this year. It's quite a compact plant that can be trained up walls. It can spread up to 3 foot in height and about 8-10 foot width according to my labels. If it does grow quickly then you can prune it. Mine is quite a slow growing one (at least I think so!) so I haven't ever pruned it.
