Heliconia`s
I am growing heliconias in my conservatory but lately i have noticed that the leaves are turning motely and lighter shades of green speckles are appearing on the underside of the leaves. These speckles seem to be sticky but they are all over the underside of the leaves.
I have had the heliconia for 2 years now and they look healthy everywhere else on the plant but just the underside of the leaves.
Anyone one know why?

I have washed it all down with a very mild solution of Fairy liquid and water as a keen gardener near me suggested.
It seems to have taken off the sticky deposits from the underside of the leaves.
Lets just hope that does the trick!!!!

Sounds like its infested with something - whitefly and aphids produce sticky deposits, red spider mite's a possibility, even soft leaf scale.
