I am looking for a very fragrant plant to put out in front of my porch. both of my bedroom windows are faceing the porch. so I was looking for a fragrant plant/flower that I could plant in front of the porch and smell in my room. the porch is about 3ft wide. thank you. oh and I'm in zone 7.

If it was me I'd fill it with Sweet Alyssum in the Spring/Summer; or even put it round the base of a larger plant.
I might actually do that this year but on my bedroom window sill.

in the evening there are the annual's 'night scented stock and night phlox' there is also a perenial night phlox. the phlox scent reminds me of the yellow sherbet you could get in the 60's. of course there is honeysuckle for evening fragrance too.

You've got to try some jasmine Krystal - I have it and it's just a magnificent fragrant plant. What about gardenias? - lovely perfume as well. Then there's the scented leaf geraniums or lavender.
