Certainly Acer palmatum. With the heavy 'fringing' on the leaves I think it could be A. p. dissectum.

Many thanks. I think the leaves were green previously but can't be 100% sure as I only recently moved in and didn't take much notice at first to be honest.

Previous question
« Hi. When is the best time to grow the seeds that I have just taken from my Allium.
Next question
It's a Japanese Acer, or officially, one of the Acer palmatum varieties - as to which one, hard to say - its leaves are turning colour, so I don't know what it looked like before that happened.
