Hello! I don't suppose you might mean a small standard silver leaf weeping pear? Anything bigger than a small standard and it would not be an olive - you would know by the shape of the fruit?! What colour and shape are the leaves?

I thought it sounded like a weeping ornamental pear too. Pretty flowers.

If pennyfarthin and I are right, then it will need dead-wooding inside, occaisionally, like a salix. You can shape/trim them to suit your requirements. The 'pears' are inedible, but the flowers pretty, bees in my garden love them and the silvery leaves are evergreen.

Pyrus salicifolia. I had one but it got very wide. Watch out for the thorns, too!
