I suspect this is a variation on the spam some of us are getting. I had a couple of notifications and no new pm. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the contact button to let Pete and AJ know.

I am getting the same a notification but with no new messages.

it says I have messages but when I click on my messages I get a message saying there is an error.
I posted a question below this one with the onscreen message I get. I am waiting for the boys to do there magic :o)

Me too....I know there's a time lag between getting a message and getting an email notification, but really, the last PM I had was 5 days ago - to find a notification there this morning seems way too late to be referring to that one.

It seems this is causing problems all over the site.
Hope they dissappear soon.

Docbob, I'm wondering if the PM I got a notification about was the dodgy one from some person 'touting for business' so to speak - apparently they were removed very quickly by Peter and Ajay, but that may not have prevented an email notification about a PM - but would explain why there's no new PM.

That's quite normal BB, if you have received 9 responses, or 9 responses have been added - why, do you think there's a problem? The reference to unsuscribing means you can stop any email notifications of things which have been added to your own blogs, questions and photographs if you want to. But then you only know if someone's said something on one of your published items on here if you go and look...

It might be referring to the responses to this question - you've certainly had more than nine of those. The emails only get sent occasionally, each response does not generate an email notification immediately, unfortunately - sometimes I get the email after I've already read the message or response anyway.
