Can the moss/thatch collected from scarifying a lawn be used anywhere else in the garden, e.g. lining hanging baskets, in the compost bin, mixed in with leaves that are being composted, or laid around the base of plants.

I also use it to line my bird box, its great stuff.

I have used moss to line my hanging baskets and it works very well.
