Hi there,

I am really wanting to make a raised bed so I can grow my own veggies, the problem I have is that my back garden is patio, oh and in some parts just gravel. Can I build a raised bed on this? If so, how do I go about it.

Thanks for any help I can get

you can buy grow bags to dput your veg in they sell on ebay and other websites they are good although do stunt the amount grown according to gardeners world on telly the other day. Not sure about raised beds on paving slabs should think so cant see why not. stones at the bottom to help with drainage I think would help

Hi,

Thank you both for your replies.

I am using grow bags for my tomatoes, but would love to try runner beans, carrots etc.

Will definately start on a small raised bed on my next day off.

Thanks again for all your help

Sorry to be a bit late, but some veggies can be grown in pots. Carrots are one!

Thanks Craftnutter, a few people have been telling me that. I actually looked it up online, and certainly seems quite a good way to grow veg if space is limited.
