Lobelia plug plants
About a month ago I got some lobelia plug plants which are indoors. They are getting quite tall now, about 4 - 5 inches. Can I do anything to make them bush out or should I just leave them?
I also have some Geranium plug plants which are growing the same. Is there anything I should do?

Also make sure they are getting enough light and not getting drawn and spindly.

I would still nip the tops out,Willinilli, even though it is a trailing one..it needs to bush out as well as trail..and when it looks as though it is getting straggly throughout the season..and it will..give it a haircut..it will go on well into Autumn...:o)

They are on a windowsill so light is not a problem Steragram.

Well if you read the link that severnside & Fran were talking about "Do plants have feelings" I might be getting a baby monitor!
I have just been up to nip the tips out & I was going "La La La" so I could'nt hear them screaming! Lol

No don't do it Bloomer, I think with the way we all love our plants now, if we all read this plants would take over the world.

Thanks for posting this because it saves me asking the same question. My lobelias and geraniums will be getting nipped tomorrow and then planting my sweet peas :-)

I'd move them outside during frost free days but bring them back in on a night. when you say lobelia which one? are they the trailing ones? the geraniums Id pinch out the tip of the plant. this will encourage the plant to sprout side shoots.
