Why does my daphne plant look so poorly? The leaves are yellow and the flowers are few and far between. It is in a pot and is still only about 30cms tall.
Please tell me how to help it, as the scent from daphnes is exquisite and I love them but never manage to keep them for long!

the yelowing leaves are a sign that it needs feeding.
I would certainly consider putting it in the ground if you can.

I got my new varigated daphne yesterday an early birthday gift from son and the perfume is stunning it arrived in bloom.
It was too cold yesterday and we have a light snow covering so thought best to leave till it warms up before I plant it .

Daphnes have a large root system and are better suited to the garden than a pot. If you cannot plant it in the ground then a generous sized pot should be used.
