Can you tell me if my Ceanothus has a spidermite infection and how I can clear it up?

I recently noticed several 'dead' 'minor branches on my two year old Puget Blue Ceanothus. On closer inspection I discovered numerous 'balls' of dead leaves containing what appear to be some sort of spider mite cocoons. Can you possibly advise? Yours most gratefully, Tim Horn.

hi, you will soon know the whole plant will have a like mist webb all over it.
my solution was spray with water every day and keep the plant wet, red spider mite do not like damp areas , your plant must be dry .
