It also looks like the leaf of heuchera 'palace purple'. is it a shrub or a mound of leaves? a photo of the plant in situ would help us give a better response Ladygardener.

Is it a SHRUB or a perennial. If it is a perennial ,then I too think it is a Heuchera.
