Crush the leaves...do they smell like "frazzles" crisps ? If so, vibernum x bodnantense

It looks like my weigela 'Florida pink' but on mine, the buds are just starting, so maybe it is a viburnum!

I'd have said Viburnum Bodnantense our is looking just like that right now.

also the leaf says viburnum too.

Why crush the leaves, if it is V. x bodnantense Dawn (as it most likely is) then the flowers are delightfully scented. Weigela is sadly lacking in that department.
