I reckon foxglove too, its typical of the way the flower develops.

I thought foxgloves were bi-annual, this plant looks in remarkably good condition for a plant that age > my comfrey on the other hand looks just like this although its just about to flower.

The leaves look a bit smooth for foxglove. My vote is with comfrey, or another member of the Borage Family.

I was going to comfrey as well its the flower spike that makes me think foxglove

Thank you. I think foxgloves are poisonous so I shall dig it up.

they are only if you eat them. so many plants are for us but thats not a reason not to grow them.
