Acer Palmatum with red winged fruits?
Iv just purchased an Acer palmatum... knocked down price .No other details, Young leaves are green.. Older leaves are a slight purple colour. But there are some red wing fruits on it!
Can anyone give me an idea witch Acer this might be?
Il add a picture later if that helps?

A photo of the plant would be useful - the redwinged seeds aren't necessarily definitive for ID

Acer platanoides 'crimson king' is the one that we have, its a large tree with deepdark leaves. These with the psedoplatanus varieties such as drummondii do best in my garden, the japanese acer 'dissectum' lives permanently in the greenhouse
