What is the best type of weed killer to use? I have the wild 'sticker' bushes that I have tried to dig up but can't get all the roots.

United States

I have daylillies and amaryllis planted in this one bed.

On plant Amaryllis

If you can't get at the roots then you need a systemic weedkiller. You would need to spot spray on the weeds and it will soak through to the roots.

However, if they are seriously close or touching your lilies and amaryllis, then you may have no choice but to just keep pulling at them as weedkiller could well damage your plants.
