i have a cream clematas flowers every year with largh blooms this year lots of folage but not a bud in sight please help thank you jessie godwin

The developing buds on mine got caught by a late frost, so I have no flowers either. Could that explain it?

When did you prune it, and did you feed it? I'd like to know its name and pruning group, if you know them.
