Please can you suggest some flowering plants that rabbits will not eat - preferably pink, lilac, blue or white flowers.
Thank you

I had some gardening problems with rabbits as well and I found that they don't like fox gloves, onions, opium poppies and elephants ears.

As an answer to a previous question concerning rabbits and deer, try 'Grazers', can be purchased from all good garden centres. Further info. from their internet site.

Thank you very much to both Alex and Jimmy. I plan to add foxgloves and I am definitely going to give Grazers a go.

I find they don't touch fuchsias, pelargoniums or gladioli. I find alliums get eaten. Ceratostigma is being left alone and it has lovely intense blue flowers and striking autumn colour in the leaves.

Other than that I fenced a large area of the garden to keep the bunnies out, and outside that area I put chicken wire round some individual plants or beds. It looks weird but is better than losing the lot!

I find that in some years plants get eaten that in other years do not, and some people list plants as "rabbit proof" that get eaten in my garden. Different rabbits have different tastes, I guess!

Thanks Beattie,

I will try the Ceratostigma.
Yes, I find that some plants that they didn't touch last year, they are attacking this year. As infuriating as they are - I still find the baby ones so cute that I am reluctant to take up my son's offer to shoot them!
Perhaps I should be less sentimental and find a good rabbit stew recipe.

How do I say thanks?
