Apply a splint to it!
Use a bamboo cane and tape it with insulation tape( or similar) a few times along its length.
Plus; at the break wrap some more insulation tape directly on to the branch to prevent disease getting into the heartwood.
With a bit of luck it will graft its self together again!

Hi Wrong time to take cuttings sorry to say but you are wasting your time.
Hardwood cuttings taken in the Autumn is best with roses. I know what you are going through the winds here are realy bad I have been tying rope around the Laburnum tree thats only 5 years old to stop it rocking in the soil, every foxglove plant in flower are bent over ...
ggggrrrr
Glad I took the baskets down yesterday and put in the greenhouse they would of been like bells in a church in full peal !!!.
