What are the little chocolate coloured spots on my broad beans' leaves, will they do any harm and if so how do I control them?

my first thought was chocolate spot. It is a fungal infection. dont know if there is an ameteur gardeners treatment. I dont think it will affect any beans that form.

Thank you for the help - definitely looks like chocolate spot, all the info online says there's no treatment for amateur gardeners so have sprayed it with fungicide anyway!! and have picked off as many affected leaves as possible and put them in household bin.

Either Broad bean chocolate spot:

or Broad bean rust:

Take a look at the images on both of the links and see which fits most. From your description probably chocolate spot.
