sallet onions

Spring onions? Possibly a little late but in a garden centre

sallet onions are not common spring onions they are bunch onions that grow and can be picked all year round. so i repeat my question, anyone know where i can get some in the uk

Checking on the web it looks like they are normal onions just harvested young and at any time of year - is this something you discovered or ate in the States as I couldn't find any UK references to...

i lived in salisbury uk for a while and had some growing in my borders along with flowers. my deepest regret is that did not bring some back to sheffield with me . so pleasant to eat.
thay never grew bigger than spring onions and had a milder taste. mmm delicious
