planting daffodills

Just found a bag of daffodill bulbs that I forgot to plant last fall. Should I plant them now, knowing they won't do anything, or wait until this coming fall ?

I would keep them dry and cool and plant them in August - unless they are sprouting, when they may just die on you - then plant!
