Definately a dog rose. These were planted all over the estate I used to live on. The council chopped them back hard every year and they cam back brilliantly, loads of flowers.

This is too pink for a rosa Canina I am sure, but there again the colour on our screans can differ. You do not tell us if this is a climber or a shrub type florabunda rose so it is difficult, But have a look at ROSA COMPLICATA which is a Gallica or Galica Hybred with Rosa Canina also look at ROSA RUBIGINOSA EGLANTINE which is a sweet briar rose. Hope this is of some help, try putting these names into Google see what comes up. By the way a beautiful clear photo! If it is a single flowered bush rose, David Austin has one called Heavenly Rosalind but the colour is a little too pink for that I believe.

Thank you for your private message, with regard to the Rosa Rubiginosa Eglantine, so glad I could be of help, there are so many cultivars of these roses it is difficult to sort them.

Hello Pride :)
That's really pretty...it looks like Rosa Canina (the dogrose) to me.
