I have just bought a floribunda rose, yellow bud paling to creamy white mature flowers, sweet scent, label 'shrub £6.99' on the reverse 'Walk Tall', all in hand written on plain label so no other clues. I can't find it on the www anywhere. Would love to know if it will tolerate some shade.

Found this on the internet, hope it helps :o)

According to Steve Hutton, President at the Conard-Pyle Company, introducers of Star Roses. “In general the roses that flower the most, like floribundas and shrub roses, will do better in the shade...Anything less than six hours of sun will sacrifice some blooms. But, if you pick a rose that has prolific flowers with big blooms you will have a perfectly happy plant." And pale petaled beauties that can look washed out in bright sunshine seem to glow in partial shade. :o)

Thanks Ladyessex1 It should be happy where I put it yesterday, but I am still mystified by it's absence on the www. Someone out there must have it for sale or on a list!

"Your Welcome"
I have searched for 'Walk Tall' but haven't found a rose of that name anywhere, maybe it would be best to go back where you got it from as they may be able to enlighten you about the name on the hand written tag.
Good Luck :o)
