Previous question
This is a coconut tree? If so, coconuts are really hard to grow I'm afriad. I used to work in an office where there was one and being the 'planty' person, I had the dubious honour of trying to keep the $&#£ thing alive! lol I did a bit of research and I tried everything but it still died, so maybe I'm not the best person to give advice!! The problem is that this plant naturally grows in very sandy growing medium where fresh water is hard to come by - replaced by salt sea water. One bit of advice was to water it using a saline solution. They allso require high light levels, whcih I'm afraid you probably wont achieve in a house. A conservatory maybe? If the leaves have already gone dry and brittle, I think it may be a gonner already. Sorry not to be more positive here - I'm afriad they are just such specialised plants - for living on tropical beaches - a house plant they are not :-(
