Astantia will work Oxsalis to like the Cotula but the Nertera is not hardy and these need to be hardy plants that also will grow every year.
Shall see what garden centres have on offer today.

Knautia macedonica and Knautia macedonica 'Melton Pastels' are a couple that I grow. Definitely perennials and what I would call pin cushion plants.

I ask 'cos 'cushion' plants are a different thing altogether. They are the low. ground hugging mound like plants grown on the rock garden. Some of the Saxifrages are cushions as are Draba and some Dianthus, especially Dianthus erinaceus.

Hmmm, a few plants have this nickname, but Nertera granadensis and Cotula are two of them.
