How hardy is Hypericum Androsaemum in the S. Midlands?

I had one in my garden but lost it one winter but it has re-appeared as a seedling.

It should be pretty tough but if the drainage was poor, it may have drowned in a wet winter?

Most hypericums are fairly hardy, though less long lived in colder areas. The one you mention isn't noted for being tender and tolerates deep shade well, which probably means it also tolerates dry fairly well. Thank goodness there's a new seedling...
