I planted cauliflowers in the autumn and although they have grown they have not produced florets Others planted in the Spring are gwowing well. How long should I wait?

Although I can't remember all my veg. growing lessons, I suspect that the 'well- manured' bit is your problem. A plant produces flowers in order to have seed. If the ground is too rich, it won't bother, and all you'll get is leaves. Would you work if you were being fed? By the time you planted the spring caulis. much of the rich food would have been dispersed into your autumn plantings and the balance of NPK would have evened out.
