Shallots ( again, sorry)
I thought I was on a winner. I was advised to buy shallot "sets", so I bought 20, I set them at the beginning of April and harvested them at the end of July, and now had well over 100. We ate/pickled about half of them and now have 50. My question is - must I wait until next April to set these or will they be rotten by this time ?
I want to set them now, along with the garlic I grew earlier this year.

Thanks S.B., I reckon I'll set half of them and save the rest till later. Then I've got both ends covered.

dont know what the right thing to do is but i have left the odd one in by error and its come through ok. but a mild winter then.
if you keep them in a cool, dark, dry place over winter they will be fine though.
