Highly toxic but, like so many poisonous plants, unlikely to be eaten and terrible to taste.
I've only come across one accidental poisoning where someone thought it would make their veg garden more attractive and picked some of the leaves along with salad leaves.
Her and hubby had pretty bad tummies for 24 hours.

not at all if you dont eat it.
I have grown it for years with out mishap and i have raised 2 children to almost adulthood. [both still alive one is 20 today the other 14 just in case it sounds as if I have bumped them off!]

Never been a problem in any of my gardens - always had this plant. If it's children you are worried about - education is the best way as there are many plants we grow in the garden which would do us harm. I've always had pets (dogs and cats) and never had a problem with them either.
