I have been given a Rhododendron Simsii, which has no finished flowering. Can I plant it in the garden (we live in Wales) or is it only for indoors

If I did plant it outside it would be in a sheltered position

Hallo to you all from Germany..this question is about Rhododendrons.
i was told you can get very small rhodendrons suitable for rockeries
This is a half-hardy species. They usually flower in spring but are forced into early flower for the Christmas trade and need similar growing conditions to outdoor azaleas - cool, moist and shady.
Repot if necessary in ericaceous compost and feed with a high potassium liquid feed at weekly intervals. Plants can be stood outdoors in a cool, shady site for the summer if kept constantly moist, but must be brought indoors before danger of frost
