The railroad use to run along the shore. They changed the paths to bike/walking paths. I like this part in particular.

Yes, it's great. Try to do 2 miles 3 times a week. Always see something on the trail: turtles, rabbits, birds, 90 dollars once! It's close to my home and very convenient. No excuse not to get out there and move!

They've done this where I live too, Regina. But they've made it into the Bike Trail along the St. Lawrence River....it is possible to bicycle for about 30 miles of shoreline...through a small city and two small towns... makes a great recreational resource... folks take their dogs, their kids and as long as a person keeps an eye for cyclists pedestrians are welcome to walk the trails...
