A Walk in the Peak District & Seed Update

The weather was nice yesterday so me and my girlfriend decided it’d be a good idea to go for a walk somewhere. I decided we’d start at the Upper Derwent Visitors Centre in the Peak Disrtict.
So we arrive and, after finding a parking space (!!), we set off. Emily notices all the ducks and birds and buys some seed from the counter.
Edge of Ladybower Reservoir:
Area at the bottom of Derwent Dam that’s home to hundreds of Frogs!:
Other side of the dam and “Oh look! Trees! Lets walk up there!”
Clearly not impressed by my idea.. (She’s actually adjusting her hair!)
Out of the trees now.. “Oh look! A hill! Think of the views from the top!”
Getting higher:
We made it to the top and look at the view! Sheep!:
Here’s the real view (zoomed in):
This is the dam that the Dam Busters practiced on. If you look at the small patch of green behind the left tower, that’s where we started with the frogs.
Seed Update
Not an amazing difference since my last update but some pictures regardless.
Echinaceas are coming along nicely:
Cucumbers are doing well too:
Some lazily sown Datura tatula seedlings in a Ferrero Rocher box. Will have to sort them out soon:
Some of my Melianthus major seeds have appeared on the top of my soil but no sign of vegetation yet. I also sowed some Amberboa muricata seeds last night too.
My Nan’s got in on the act and sown her seeds now. Here are her Cosmos ‘Sensation’ seedlings:
She is also growing Nicotiana sylvestris and Sweet Pea ‘Fragrantissima’ but there’s nothing to see there yet.
Well that took me ages to do. Think I’ll have a break now and then go and look around the garden and update my garden pictures next.

A lovely day out. The water in Ladybower seemed to be getting a little low already or am I misjudging it?

I don't know, it's the first time I've been there in years. Definitely worth the trip though.

We are going here for Easter hols! looks like you had good weather, hope we are so lucky. It looks beautiful. I grew some Nicotiana a few years ago. Couldnt believe I got such a huge plant from such a tiny seed. And they smell lovely. Thanks for sharing

I have looked at your pictures again, Rydeboyz, and maybe the levels aren't getting low - just my imagination.

Lovelly walk! Thank you!
I'm jealous of your Echinacea seedlings - they look great - I've sown 2 varieties and absolutely nothing yet......I'm starting to wonder if they've been too warm in the greenhouse - I see yours are on window sills..............

Cheers guys!
Yeah all my seed sowing is done on window sills as I don't have a greenhouse or a propagator. I'd say the Echinacea took at least 2 weeks to start growing so fingers crossed Sid!
