The 'saw' side of xmas!

I’m back to sciving in the garden!
Nothing much to do in the kitchen this week, and althought I had insisted that it didnt need weeding and any way it was too cold. (Replanted the planters last week!) I was perswaded that the staff garden needs clearing………..
What they didnt say was that they had dumped the xmas trees, all six, into it and before I could clear anything I would have to ‘cut them up’
It took me all morning (which was quicker than I was expecting) But to get them back I utalised their smoking shed (which I was told no one uses) and made it into a green house! Funny how suddanly they all use it…………
Stuck a sheet of plastic across the back and wedged some shelves across the windows! Easy.
Used the xmas tree trunks as edging for borders and reposisioned the slabs down the middle. Will try and perswade the G.M. to slab the whole area. Last year the waiting stalf tried to grass it, but with it being under trees and as they didnt get rid of the weeds first, six months later it is still a mess!
Had a real treat when I got home. Dirty and smelly from a day sawing!
Plant delivery from ‘J.Parker’s (I learnt my lesson from last year and put in an order early.
The ground cover plants looked a bit scraggly, but the
roses, three shrubs (for £2.50), lilly bulbs, Dahlia and begonia bulbs all look great and ready to fill my new green house!
Potting up the ground cover plants in the dark and cold, I was told was a bit o.t.t but hay, I realy enjoyed the soak in the bath afterwards!
The smoking shed that was!
The cleared staff area.
My rescued planter planted up.

Funny how people want something when someone else wants it. I hope your seeds do well in the shed.

You've transformed the "smoking shed" and it will pay dividends using it as a greenhouse...good idea :) Hope you are rested up after your bike ride.
