As I have gone through this lovely site, I have found that I love it, and will visit here often. There is every kind of flower and shrub that will help me know what I like to plant. Our yard is full of pine trees and evergreens and since it is in sand I need to find flowers I can plant in pots. I have planted a lot of trees; apple, tulip, Norway maple, red maple, eucalyptus, crabapple, flowering plum, cherry, redwoods. I bought a redwood burl on a trip south of here, and when it sprouted small redwood limbs I planted the whole thing outside. It is now 5 ft tall, and it looks like it will be a whole grove there are so many trees coming out of it.
We have 3 acres and lots of room to plant wonderful flowers and trees.
We just started feeding the Goldfinches recently and news has spread because we had to buy more feeders as every Goldfinch around has discovered them. They are so much fun to watch.

That's a big area and a lot of trees! We have some goldfinches around where I am but I can't feed the birds because of neighbouring cats:(

Hope you enjoy yourself here and make lots of friends:)

A redwood in a pot sounds interesting! Perhaps it will have to be a big bonsai?
