Plants & flowers from England to India number five

Syria. And it is proving very hard to choose one photo for Syria given the tragic state of the country right now. So have chosen a hopeful one – taken in the city of Homs – which had then been rebuilt after the last civil war. My heart breaks when I think how the people and it are managing.
Jordan. Well, Jordan is pretty dry and pretty dusty with a lot of arid desert lands. However where theere is water you will find growth. And the simple greeness makes a vivid contrast to the rocky walls of the Wadi Mujib.

Wonderful to see some colour and brightness in Syria in what is a very dark time there! Stunning rock photo from Jordan!
