Freecycle (Recycling Everything Free).

I belong to Freecycle, which is worldwide, and there are groups in most towns in the UK. I am sure there must be lots of fellow gardeners that know about this and are members. I just wondered if anyone knows of such a Group specifically aimed at Gardeners? I have been very lucky with Freecycle so far and have picked up seeds and plants free and also I have given seeds and plants free. For instance, last week I gave away some slabs and garden tools that were too heavy for me. There may well be ‘Recyclers’ specifically aimed at gardens and I’d be really pleased to know of such a Group.
Regards to everybody,
Lynda

I heard about freecycle on this site and joined. Today I gave away a blue and white jug and other bits to an art class for OAP's. I is national but the groups are local. Though the amount of emails every is getting tedious.

You can change the settings Denise so that you only get a summary. Ian told me how to do it but I've forgotten, last time I looked I had over 7000 and couldn't face deleting them all so I must get it changed!!
Sorry Lynda, welcome to GoY and to answer your question, no I don't know of any similar scheme specifically for gardeners but it would be great wouldn't it. I know people on here do offer seeds and plants to each other.

I use a completely different email address for Freecycle. Makes it a lot easier.

I don't get emails to my own address. it's just messages in my inbox when I go onto Freecycle (which I obviously haven't done for some time!!)
