ahh although the sun isn’t shining, i think its just about the right temperature to go in the cabin, it makes a nice change not to be sweating like mad, and after all its still warm.
My cabin is a mess right now, having just bought a new lathe and moving stuff around in there its not an ideal working space, but hey i am going in..
Decided to use a couple pieces of scrap wood up and make some mushrooms just for fun, i also played around with a square piece of pine and made a small bowl with straight sides.
going to ashley isles workshop near woodhall spa tommorow, hope to pick up a bargain there.

the bowl is actually pine, it was just a square piece i had laying around and decided to have a play..

good grain patteren on the pieces. is the bowl ash or beech? my other half is also a turner. he has made some pretty platters etc too.
