I love this colouring ~ reminds me of an ice cream somehow ~ i wish it was a corm i could keep but its one of those that you put in just for the winter
it always seems strange to me that some can be just short term and some last year after year ~ but are the same plant??? I dont understand it
is there any way i can keep this one?

Sticky
Yes you can keep them, and they do have a corm the same as any other Cyclamen the difference with your variety is they do not like wet and cold so bring it in doors, a light not too hot window sill that wont frost. In the spring it should loose its leave when this happens stop watering until august, when you can re pot water and start all over. Some people leave them under there Green House staging during the summer there it should be happy.

They are not hardy but if you do as Bjs advises you should be able to keep it for many years. Treat it as a house plant in winter and spring and you can put it back out in the garden, if you wish, later in summer. It does have an attractive flower, Sticki, does it have interesting leaves as well?

Been looking at your picture again and don't see the pink stripe in the flower next to it, is it on the same plant if so you need to pollinate that flower to have any chance of repeating it from seed,It looks like what is known as a sport(the genes have got in a twist) pollination is easy just tap the nose of the flower with your nail if you end up with pollen on it you should be OK.As for the likely hood of it breeding true,Pretty slim

I have the large flowered indoor one than produces one pink striped white flower every year. has done for over 20yrs now.

Sounds nice, Sticki. We always look for nice leaf forms when we buy cyclamen.

me too ~ i love the leaves as much as the flowers ~ as a result i have a mainly green garden with splashes of colour but i seem to like it that way ~ its restful
