Do you have tomato plants there? You could grow other veg like carrots, beans etc. It doesn't have to be like an allotment though, you can add perennial plants as well as annual bedding plants. My soil is acidic so I have added a blueberry bush to my kitchen garden.

i have a hydragea petiolaris in my garden, well i have two, one is on my west side, its quite fast growing and lovely flowers, or you could have clematis against fence to, climbing rose iceburg is beautifull, i got one this year, so many lovely climbers les.. you could have, then some perenials and small shrubs in border at front, or like Nbhatt said you could have veg patch, endless choices

Ummmmmmm.......
How about puting something tall in the centre to create height and interest - like a sundial, or a big pot, or a little dwarf tree, or standard rose..... maybe ?
