Sir Harold Hillier Gardens

My Granddaughter has been with me this week yesterday we had a girls morning out at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens It’s been some time since my last visit I worked here about 10 years ago and since then there have been many changes.
It was so peaceful wandering amongst the flowers. The dragonflies by the lake fascinated Layla. After we had had, enough we went home for lunch. Granddad came home early and we then went to Lepe Beach for the afternoon. We had a picnic tea, which included a lovely Victoria sponge cake Layla made on Thursday. We have had a wonderful week planting out summer bedding in the garden making hanging baskets up and potting up some seedlings.
I think it is going to be very quiet next week

I learn something every day - Hillier is such a famous name, but I didn't know there was a garden you could visit! It looks beautiful. :-)

I would give her a gold medal for that cake but I see someone has beaten me to it. I have Hilliers plant book and use it a lot. The gardens are on my list of places to visit.
