Planting looks great, I envy you with those lovely Lupins, I never have any luck with them as the D..n slugs & snails chew them down to the ground in the night Grrr! :o((

I'm a softie with slugs and snails, particularly snails, I think they are fascinating creatures. Every time I pick up a pot there is at least one clinging to the underneath so I am very careful. The lupins are needing cut back a little now but hopefully there'll be some smaller flowers still to come. They are so old fashioned and cottage-y, I love them!

That's a good idea. I do the same with things like Fuchsias in pots, and bulbs in the spring. They can be taken away after they finish flowering.

I do this with lilies and dahlias too. its a useful way of filling the gaps.
