I thought by way of a change I would produce a ‘blog’ on Gardener’s Holidays and what they get up to when they are there.
For instance did you do this on holiday?

I'm sure British sand wouldn't stick together like that - there must be a trick to it, additives or something! Fantastic efforts aren't they? What a shame to think they will all just collapse again.

So far as I know they add a PVA adhesive in the mixing water and it sets!
A bit like hair lacquer I guess!

I think I'd be heartbroken if my creation like that disappeared when the glue disintegrated. They are fantastic. Weston super mare has sand sculptures but nothing as elaborate as these. where were you?

I cannot tell a lie Sg
These are not mine as such!
These are bouncing through cyberspace in the form of emails and I collated them because I thought they were brilliant.
I have also collected other space debris that has interested me.
I'm a bit of a hoarder! ;o))

I have seen something similar to these, although not as magnificent. They were created in order to raise funds for 'Help for Heroes' It's hard to believe they're made of sand isn't it?

I have seen these in emails but still great to look at Teegee, I did collect a few pebbles again this year and helped grandson on the beach but ours was more of a mound and a moat, lol....
