Same here...I now leave it to get on with it and carry on with something else...it is sooo slow....:(( It never use to be that slow...it seems to have got worse...I dread uploading sometimes...but I never give up...I moan inside quietly...lol.... now that you have raised this issue up...I got it off my chest...by the way...my PC is new and very fast on everything else except uploading here.

Try "uploading" late at night or when not so many are on as this site has got quite big now so with so many uploading on to the site, it would take longer. If not you could ask Ajay or Peter about it. Its the only thing I can think off for you both.

How queer, i don't ever have that kind of trouble and i do them at peak times.
Maybe your computer needs a 'clean-out' to rid it of unnecessary files etc. because that would most certainly slow it down.

I timed it the other day, it took 10 mins to download 3 pictures!! I go do something else and come back to it later.

Could it be something to do with your broadband width/speed? If you live like me, well away from the town and transmitter, it's slow.

That has a big effect on things, doesn't it, Heron.

Does your editing suite allow you to export your pictures to a seperate file ?

You may of course already be doing this and as Heron suggests not much you can do about location if its broadband sensitive , but if not by doing so it should compress the storage size of the photo.For example I use Picasa click the export file which then automatically compresses the photo from megabytes to smaller kilobytes.This allows much faster uploading.

I found my camera was recording images close to and sometimes beyond the image capacity the site allowed.Downloading images seemed to take forever .

Try deleting your Cookies every day? as this may speed up your computer.

i usually take 3 attempts as the first 2 fail to load due to 'internet connection failure' which is not true as if I back tab it goes back to GoY. I find the time of day makes no difference at all. sadly. Peter & Ajay have tried to find a solution for me. This is the main reason I have very few photos up at the moment.
