About me
I've lived in my house for 34 years, it slopes from the right boundary down to left so has been a pain to work out and work on, but since I had a new fence put in in 2016 and the other one in 2019 I've really got stuck in. I've terraced with old sea defence sleepers, then weed matted, planted and put stones on top - 2 reasons, it gets very dry in summer so bark would dry out - and windy - then it would blow away. And the cats think my garden is their loo, but are less likely to dig. I suppose that's three reasons! I'm now working on the pond - that is, I'm repurposing my old cold water tank - in the garden, not the attic! and I found your comments on aquatic soild most enlightening. The sub soil I've dug out is more sandy than anything, only grass grew there - including when it was a field! I retired last year so will have more time - I just need the arctic conditions to back off!
